Open Source is free. Free as in free speech, not as in free beer.
OSISM is based on the Four Opens principle, which promotes openness in the areas of software, design, development, and community. This means that all users can freely utilise OSISM as a cloud platform and actively participate in the further development of its components.
However, professional operation, especially for critical applications, requires a great deal of expertise. That is why we offer a subscription for companies, public administrations, academic institutions and service providers. This includes comprehensive support as well as various services and features that enable the professional operation of OSISM. In addition, our partners provide extended services and components.
Our subscription includes:
Development of OSISM
We continually develop OSISM and adapt it to current technological requirements: we integrate new features and optimise existing components, enabling you to implement timely security and maintenance updates.
Development of OpenStack
We ensure the future of OpenStack, on which OSISM is based: We are actively involved in its development and responsible for its technical infrastructure. We also serve as Core Reviewers and members of the Security Team.
Up-to-date documentation
We maintain documentation for all relevant components and services, ensure clear nomenclature, and enable straightforward implementation.
Quality control
We systematically and comprehensively test all OSISM components on our continuous testing infrastructure, ensuring their functionality and reliability.
Swift fixes for critical security vulnerabilities
We provide early notification about identified security vulnerabilities and release patches to fix them within 48 hours. We thoroughly test emergency patches before rollout and provide clear implementation guidelines.
Support with updates and upgrades
We advise our customers on planning and implementing updates and upgrades. On request, we coordinate rollouts, perform compatibility checks and offer rollback plans to reduce risk.
